This image was acquired by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) aboard the joint NASA/NOAA NOAA-20 satellite. When the image above was captured, the strength of Hurricane Bonnie was Category 3, with maximum sustained winds of up to 115 mph and wind gusts of up to 138 mph.
