This clean infrared image shows Hurricane Otis making landfall near Acapulco, Mexico, on October 25, 2023, at 1:20 a.m., EST [5:20 UTC]. The imagery was captured by the Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) instrument aboard the GOES-East (GOES-16) satellite. The storm rapidly intensified into a Category 5 hurricane just before making landfall.
