HLS Spectral Bands

View a list of spectral bands for the Harmonized Landsat and Sentinel-2 (HLS) project.

The HLS project provides consistent land surface observations from both the Operational Land Imager (OLI) aboard the joint NASA/USGS Landsat 8 and Landsat 9 satellites and the Multi-Spectral Instrument (MSI) aboard Europe’s Copernicus Sentinel-2A, Sentinel-2B, and Sentinel-2C satellites. Due to the spectral similarities between the Landsat (L30) and the Sentinel-2 (S30) instruments, data harmonization between these sensors can generate higher-frequency imagery products for land surface monitoring and applications.
