Description
This data set (ATL10) contains estimates of sea ice freeboard, calculated using three different approaches. Sea ice leads used to establish the reference sea surface and descriptive statistics used in the height estimates are also provided. The data were acquired by the Advanced Topographic Laser Altimeter System (ATLAS) instrument on board the Ice, Cloud and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) observatory.
Version Description
Implemented improved filtering of outliers in estimates of reference surface heights prior to freeboard calculations; Added statistical parameters from ATL07 to the /gtx/freeboard_beam_segment/height_segments/ group; Updated the beam freeboard heights and sigma computations to use a weighted mean instead of calculating a simple average; The equilibrium tide is now read from the ATL07 product and written as a reference value to the geophysical group (/gtx/freeboard_beam_segment/geophysical/).
