Brightness Temperature image of Iceberg A76A that calved from the Ronne Ice Shelf in Antarctica. This image was acquired by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS), aboard the joint NASA/NOAA Suomi National Polar orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) satellite. The A76 iceberg was initially approximately 4320 square km and has now broken into three icebergs, A76A, A76B and A76C. A76A is approximately 3500 square km, A76B is 480 square km, and A76C is 360 square km.
