The Virtual Biomass Burning Experiment (VBBE) took place in southeast Asia in August and September 2007. VBBE was a warm-up exercise for the 7-SEAS project, which performed interdisciplinary research in aerosol, environment, meteorology, and climate interaction in Southeast Asia (SEA). VBBE was conducted to collect and archive a dataset over southeast Asia to enable 7-SEAS participating members to become familiar with experiment protocols and products.
