The image above is a before and after comparison showing flooding in Tanzania. Flooded areas are seen in shades of blue. These images are false-color corrected reflectance (Bands 7-2-1) images from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument aboard the Terra satellite, The left image (A side) is from May 3, 2023 and the right image (B side) is from May 1, 2024. Swipe the bar back and forth to see the extent of the flooded area on the B side compared to the A side.
