Don’t miss out on this IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) webinar highlighting NASA’s open-source science platform for Earth science research and applications. Known as Visualization, Exploration, and Data Analysis (VEDA), this platform strives to support large-scale interdisciplinary scientific endeavors. Learn about VEDA’s open source tools for data, collaborative development environment, processing, and interactive visual interface.
The webinar will deep dive into VEDA’s data services: catalog for cloud-optimized formats. The significance of these data services is the value of the data products that can be exposed beyond a single interface. VEDA includes a dashboard for users exploring data products, but the VEDA platform serves data products to other interfaces, including NASA’s Enterprise GIS (EGIS). You will also have the opportunity to learn about how VEDA is making infrastructure accessible to the broader community following NASA’s open source science initiative. Furthermore, the webinar will explore how the GRSS community can utilize VEDA to enhance their own research efforts.
