Increasingly used by researchers in a broad range of fields, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is becoming more accessible and easier to use. NASA's Alaska Satellite Facility Distributed Active Archive Center (ASF DAAC) plays a key role in enabling SAR data discovery and access for a diverse user community worldwide. With an improved web presence and SAR educational tools available online, ASF DAAC has made the process of getting started with SAR simpler. The addition of Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (PALSAR) datasets to the unrestricted data category gives our research community access to a remarkable amount of fresh data. With an archive of pre-processed data available for immediate download, ASF DAAC offers wide-ranging possibilities for SAR-based research discoveries. ASF DAAC encourages scientists to explore the many ways SAR can enhance their research efforts.

During this webinar, participants will learn more about the available SAR data sets at NASA's ASF DAAC. In addition, a variety of SAR data discovery and data access tips/tutorials will be provided.
