NASA's Earth Science Division (ESD) established the Commercial SmallSat Data Acquisition (CSDA) program to explore the potential of commercial satellite data in advancing the agency's Earth science research and application objectives. The program aims to identify, assess, and acquire data from commercial providers, which may offer a cost-effective means of supplementing Earth observations collected by NASA, other U.S. Government agencies, and international collaborators. Commercial Earth observation data have the potential to enhance the breadth and frequency of Earth observations, and provide valuable data for scientific research and applications.

Webinar speakers will provide updates on the CSDA program's progress and activities. This will include information on changes in program management, updates to the data evaluation process, status of existing contracts with data providers, and the status of the on-ramps for potential commercial data sources. Additionally, CSDA representatives will discuss end-user licensing agreements, data availability and access, and address questions from webinar attendees.
