The USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center, where NASA's Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) is located, will be having an extended preventative maintenance (PM) period on Monday, April 7, through Wednesday, April 9, 2025. As we prepare for this PM, access to on-premises LP DAAC data, tools, and services will be unavailable from 2:00 pm on Monday, April 7 until 12:00 pm Central Daylight Time (CDT) Thursday, April 10, 2025, while we work to bring the services back online.

The following LP DAAC tools will be unavailable during this time: the LP DAAC Data Pool, the LP DAAC website, the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) Data Acquisition Request (DAR) Tool, the ASTER Emergency Scheduling Interface and Control System (AESICS), and the ASTER Expedited Data Set (EDS) archive. LP DAAC access will also be unavailable from OPeNDAP, and ordering of LP DAAC data using the Simple, Scalable, Script-Based Science Processor for Missions (S4PM) will be unavailable during this time. AppEEARS will be available and accepting orders, processing of requests will begin once systems are back online. Requests will take longer than normal to complete. LP DAAC Cloud Collections will still be available through NASA’s Earthdata Search and CMR.

Thank you for your patience during this extended downtime. We offer our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
