Level 0 data from NASA's Polar Radiant Energy in the Far-InfraRed Experiment (PREFIRE) mission is now publicly available for research and exploration. PREFIRE aims to improve our understanding of how the Arctic responds to and influences climate change, focusing on critical measurements in the far-infrared spectrum.

The PREFIRE Level 0 data products consist of:

  • Raw text-format information about each CubeSat's status while in orbit (see the PREFIRE_SAT1_0-BUS-TLM and PREFIRE_SAT2_0-BUS-TLM collections)
  • Raw binary-format engineering, calibration, and Earth-observation data from the science instrument payload aboard each CubeSat (see the PREFIRE_SAT1_0-PAYLOAD, PREFIRE_SAT1_0-PAYLOAD-TLM, PREFIRE_SAT2_0-PAYLOAD, and PREFIRE_SAT2_0-PAYLOAD-TLM collections)
