1. The volume distributed to end users per day, as a running average over the last 4 weeks, is 3.039 times the volume added to the archive per day.

LANCE Data Latency

Note:

The OMINRT and OMINRT2 files from February 22, 2025, failed to process due to the EMS OPS issues on February 22. This has been fixed.

Higher product latencies for:

• VIIRS-NOAA-20-Land, on March 7, 2025, due to bad data causing all downstream products to be delayed.

Note:

1. Latency for a data granule is defined as the time taken from the midpoint between the start and end of acquisition of the data for that granule to the granule’s being ready online for users to download.
2. Duration covered by the data for a granule is defined differently for different instruments (e.g., MODIS granules are 5 minutes long while OMI NRT granules are 13 to 136 minutes long).
3. Over the last 4 weeks, over 95% of NRT data requests for all instruments except for 3 instruments (OMPS-SNPP, SMAP L-BAND RADIOMETER-SMAP, and VIIRS-SNPP-Land) were satisfied within 3 hours. OMPS-SNPP, SMAP L-BAND RADIOMETER-SMAP, and VIIRS-SNPP-Land over 92%, 80%, and 80% of the NRT data requests were satisfied within 3 hours, respectively.
4. MOPITT in Safe Mode: On February 1, 2025, the Terra Measurement of Pollution in The Troposphere (MOPITT) instrument went into safe mode. While in safe mode, there will be no MOPITT science data collected. As of March 31, 2025, the MOPITT Subsetter will be decommissioned.
