Tropical Cyclone Gati Makes Landfall in Somalia

The photo-like, true color corrected reflectance image was captured by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS), aboard the joint NASA/NOAA Suomi NPP satellite. NPR reports that "the strongest tropical cyclone ever measured in the northern Indian Ocean has made landfall in eastern Africa, where it is poised to drop two years' worth of rain in the next two days."
