Deep Cyclone in the Bay of Biscay

Image showing a deep cyclone in the Bay of Biscay, off the coasts of southwestern England and northwestern France. The deep cyclone (with a central pressure measurement of 987 mbar as of 29 July 2019) is expected to bring severe winds across the two countries, as well as high waves along the coastal areas of Brittany (source: severe-weather.eu). The true color base image was acquired on 29 July 2019 by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MODIS) instrument, aboard the Terra satellite.
