New Beta Release for U.S. Greenhouse Gas Center Portal

New carbon dioxide and methane data, expanded spatial and temporal resolution for several datasets, and an enhanced data exploration environment are some of the updates in this beta release.

The U.S. Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Center team announced the second beta release of its portal for greenhouse gas flux and emission data. This release features new carbon dioxide and methane data, expanded spatial and temporal resolution for several datasets, and an enhanced data exploration environment.

The U.S. GHG Center is a NASA-led collaborative effort involving the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The U.S. GHG Center portal enables public access to curated and trusted greenhouse gas datasets, information, and analysis tools, including many datasets from NASA's Earth science data collection.

A group within NASA's Interagency Implementation and Advanced Concepts Team (IMPACT) was instrumental in building the U.S. GHG Center portal, and is responsible for the design, site development, implementation, maintenance, and daily operations. IMPACT is a NASA Earth Science Data Systems (ESDS) Program element that focuses on interagency collaboration, data assessment and evaluation, and advanced concepts.
