Airborne observations are an essential component of the integrated observing system for atmospheric composition, alongside satellite and ground-based perspectives. They provide essential information for understanding the chemical/physical processes governing the vertical structure of atmospheric composition with high temporal and spatial resolution. During this webinar, we will present the first public live demo of the upcoming Advanced Analysis of Airborne Chemistry Data web application. From a user's perspective, the application enables variable selection and ordering using a pan-and-zoom map interface with faceted-search filtering. The primary goal of this talk is to show how such an application is engineered: from an engineering perspective, the application can be seen as a worked-example of principles and technologies that could be reapplied across various NASA Distributed Active Archive Centers (DAACs) for a multitude of projects. The talk will focus on full-stack web site architecture, technology choices, and best practices.
