  1. The volume distributed to end users per day, as a running average over the last 4 weeks, is 4.114 times the volume added to the archive per day.
  2. The increase in the ingest and archive volume on 28 Apr 2023 is from CSAD WORLDVIEW-3, specifically WV03_MSIL1B.

LANCE Data Latency

Note:

  1. Higher product latencies for:

    1. VIIRS-SuoimiNPP (Land) on 23 and 24 Apr 2023 and VIIRS-JPSS-1 (Land) on 24 Apr 2023, had issues with receiving the L0 data from EDOS for both Suomi NPP and JPSS-1.

    2. VIIRS-JPSS-1 (Atmosphere) and VIIRS-Suomi NPP (Atmosphere) on 24 Apr 2023, due to delay in processing of L2 product creation from either CrlS data error or until reprocessing of L0 data.

    3. OMPS-Suomi NPP on 24 and 29 Apr 2023, EDOS had a problem with the data capture and resent the data after reprocessing.

  2. No LIS-ISS reported in the plot due to an error in our metrics system.

Note:

  1. Latency for a data granule is defined as the time taken from the midpoint between the start and end of acquisition of the data for that granule to the granule’s being ready on-line for users to download.
  2. Duration covered by the data for a granule is defined differently for different instruments (e.g., MODIS granules are 5 minutes long while OMI NRT granules are 13 to 136 minutes long).
  3. Over the last four weeks, over 95% of NRT data requests for all instruments except for six instruments (AIRS-AQUA, MISR-TERRA, OMPS-Suomi NPP, VIIRS-Suomi NPP (Land), VIIRS-Suomi NPP (Atmosphere), and VIIRS-JPSS-1 (Atmosphere)) were satisfied within 3 hours. For AIRS-AQUA, MISR-TERRA, OMPS-Suomi NPP, VIIRS-Suomi NPP (Land), VIIRS-Suomi NPP (Atmosphere), and VIIRS-JPSS-1 (Atmosphere) over 94%, 93%, 94%, 72%, 93%, and 94% of the NRT data requests were satisfied within 3 hours, respectively.
