Why is NASA's Physical Oceanography Distributed Active Archive Center (PO.DAAC) and the Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) moving to the cloud? Here are some common questions we aim to answer:

*What is the cloud?

*How would I access sea surface temperature satellite data when it is stored in the cloud?

*When will PO.DAAC datasets start being available in the cloud, so I can start exploring how data access works in the new paradigm?

*The upcoming Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission will be archived and distributed by PO.DAAC on behalf of NASA - will I be able to easily integrate PO.DAAC/SWOT data into my workflow?

During this webinar, we will address your burning questions about the move to the cloud, what it means for the data, services, and resources it provides, and what it means for the data user community. Come learn about this paradigm shift, in the context of a NASA EOSDIS DAAC, what tools and services, as well as data, are anticipated to be cloud-based shortly, and learn about other PO.DAAC efforts to expand data accessibility and usability, including consideration for interoperability and making data more GIS-ready.
