EOSDIS Update—Fall 2017 Quarterly Newsletter is now online!
The EOSDIS Newsletter features data set and data tool news, and highlights our top stories, featured data images, webinars, data recipes, and data user profiles.
We are pleased to announce the release of the Fall 2017 EOSDIS Update Newsletter! The articles and images in this quarterly newsletter highlight NASA's Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) efforts supporting the acquisition, processing, and dissemination of NASA Earth science data, and feature recent activities and achievements in bringing these data to you.
In this issue, you’ll read about how we are getting ready for the joint NASA/Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) mission by prototyping and testing ways to manage the anticipated data volume in the commercial cloud; a retrospective of NASA's Global Change Master Directory (GCMD), and enhancements that make this an even greater international resource; and find out how high school and college interns supported EOSDIS projects and missions across the country this past summer. Of course, there also are Data User Profiles of scientists and researchers using NASA Earth science data, along with links to webinars, data recipes, and amazing images from our constellation of Earth observing satellites.
