NASA's Global Hydrology Resource Center Distributed Active Archive Center (GHRC DAAC) has published the Global Precipitation Measurement Ground Validation (GPM-GV) NCAR Particle Probes Olympic Mountain Experiment (OLYMPEX) dataset. The dataset consists ice water content, particle concentration normalized by bin width, and total particle concentration collected from 3 instruments flown on the University of North Dakota Citation aircraft during 20 missions in November and December 2015. The instruments included the PMS Two-Dimensional Cloud probe (2D-C), the SPEC Two-dimensional Stereo probe (2D-S), and two SPEC High Volume Precipitation Spectrometer 3 (HVPS-3), all two-dimensional optical array probes which record images of variously-sized particles that travel through the sampling area. All data were collected during the OLYMPEX field campaign held at Washington's Olympic Peninsula.

NASA's National Snow and Ice Data Center DAAC (NSIDC DAAC) published the dataset VIIRS/Suomi NPP Ice Surface Temperature 6-Min L2 Swath 750m (VNP30). The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) ice surface temperature algorithm has been specifically designed to be compatible with The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Terra and Aqua Version 6 sea ice datasets, to ensure continuity between the products and facilitate a climate-data record from the three sensors. This dataset is currently being generated by the data provider and delivered to NSIDC DAAC as the files become available. As such, data are available for limited dates in 2016 and 2017. Once processing is complete, the temporal coverage will span 1 January 2012 to present. VIIRS flies aboard NASA's Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) satellite and acquires visible and infrared imagery and radiometric measurements of the land, atmosphere, cryosphere, and oceans.
NSIDC DAAC has published an update to the dataset Northern Hemisphere Equal-Area Scalable Earth (EASE)-Grid 2.0 Weekly Snow Cover and Sea Ice Extent. The update extends the temporal coverage of the data through 25 December 2016.

NSIDC DAAC has published data from the Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I) F13 sensor to the dataset Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Calibrated Enhanced-Resolution Passive Microwave Daily EASE-Grid 2.0 Brightness Temperature ESDR as Version 1.2. Also included in this minor version is a correction to the handling of QC flags to retain more data, eliminating only the flagged data in a given channel and taking care not to eliminate data in other channels. This dataset is part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program.
