NASA's Global Hydrology Resource Center (GHRC) Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) published the GPM Ground Validation Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation (GSMaP) IFloodS dataset. This dataset consists of rainfall rate estimates from the GSMaP project. The GSMaP global rain rate maps are derived by a collection of algorithms that utilize microwave (MW) radiometer data and geostationary Infrared (IR) data. The GSMaP Precipitation data product is provided on a 0.1 degree spatial resolution map every hour and was made available for use during the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Ground Validation Iowa Flood Studies (IFloodS) field campaign. These data are available in netCDF-4 and binary formats from April 22, 2013 through June 30, 2013. The near real-time GSMaP data can be obtained from the JAXA GSMaP web page.
NASA's National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) DAAC has published Version 1.3 of the dataset MEaSUREs Calibrated Enhanced-Resolution Passive Microwave Daily EASE-Grid 2.0 Brightness Temperature ESDR, Version 1 for the AMSR-E, F16, F17, F18 and F19 sensors. The changes in this minor version update vary depending on the sensor and are listed by sensor in Table 11 of the user guide. Data from the remaining sensors included in this data set will be reprocessed to version 1.3 soon. This data set is part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program.
NSIDC DAAC has published data through 19 April 2018 for the dataset IceBridge POS/AV L1B Corrected Position and Attitude Data. This dataset contains georeferencing data from the Applanix 510 POS AV system flown with the Digital Mapping System (DMS) and other instruments over Greenland and Antarctica. Data parameters include latitude, longitude, altitude, velocity, roll, pitch, and heading. The data were collected as part of Operation IceBridge campaigns.
NSIDC DAAC has published data through 25 November 2017 for the dataset IceBridge Snow Radar L1B Geolocated Radar Echo Strength Profiles. This dataset contains radar echograms taken from the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets (CReSIS) ultra-wide band snow radar over land and sea ice in the Arctic and Antarctic. The data were collected as part of Operation IceBridge campaigns.
NSIDC DAAC has published the dataset ASO L4 Lidar Snow Depth 50m UTM Grid. This data set currently covers 08 February 2016 to 16 August 2017 and contains 50 m gridded snow depths derived from airborne light detection and ranging, or lidar, measurements of surface elevations. The data were collected as part of the NASA/JPL Airborne Snow Observatory (ASO) aircraft survey campaigns.
NSIDC DAAC has published the dataset AMSR-E/AMSR2 Unified L2B Half-Orbit 25 km EASE-Grid Surface Soil Moisture, Version 1 produced from the updated Beta 02 (B02) algorithm. The B02 update corrects an error that caused only half of each swath to be processed. Processing with the B02 algorithm began on May 03 2018. Data from July 07 2012 through May 02 2018 will be reprocessed.
