The purpose of the meeting was to form the working group from members representing NASA REASoN CAN awardees and other interested ESE activities. The following areas were discussed: - Plenary (see "context" ppt)
- Introduction of participants (all added to SPG mailing list)
- Introduction to & Overview : ESE Standards Process (see "process" ppt)
- Goals of SPG (see "RFCs" ppt)
- Potential areas to standardize (see "areas" ppt)
- Identify likely standards that have an impact and can likely be quickly approved.
- Identification of communities who will use the ESE Standards Process to promote their community standards for wider use.
- Identification of SPG priorities (see "minutes" doc and "report" doc)
- adopt the first three RFCS
- Interaction with reuse, technology and metrics w/g
- other priorities
- SPG work process
- Elect Co-chair (Ming Tsou, San Diego State University)
- Report out from SPG to SEEDS Plenary (see "report" doc)
