MODIS Browse

View near real-time MODIS data using the MODIS global browse images.

The land global browse images are created by projecting the 5km coarse spatial resolution products or the full resolution products if the resolution is coarser than 5km. The products are projected into a global coordinate system with 20km pixels in the Hammer-Aitoff projection, except the sea ice products which have 14.15km pixels in the Lambert Azimuthal projection. The global browse images are generated with fixed contrast stretching and color look-up tables to enable consistent temporal comparison.

OMI Browse

View the total ozone solution for the day using the daily global OMI browse images and view the total ozone column for each orbit using the orbital browse images.

The browse images provide a quick look at the OMI products generated and should not be used for scientific analysis.
