For your information, NASA's Applied Sciences Program in the Earth Science Division is sponsoring the first SUOMI NPP Applied Sciences workshop for June 21-22 at the Westin City Center Hotel in Washington, DC.
The purpose of this workshop is to:
1) Update the Earth science and applications communities on SUOMI NPP
2) Review application of instrument data, with an emphasis on VIIRS, in the four Applied Science Program elements (disaster response and management, ecological forecasting, public health, and water resources)
3) Provide an opportunity for community feedback to NASA
This is an opportunity for LANCE users to learn more about NPP near real-time products, data access, and express user needs.
Meeting and registration information can be found here: http://geo.arc.nasa.gov/npp/npp_conf_index.html. If you’re able to attend, please register as soon as possible. There is no registration fee for this workshop, but attendance is limited to the first 200 registrants.
